In Australia the Smart50 Awards 2018 still is open for application. The deadline is August 24, 2018
The competition is held annually since 2016 and comes in 8 categories: Top Franchise, Top Exporter, Top Innovator, Top Retailer, Community Hero, Top Marketing/PR Campaign, Top Regional, and StartupSmart Award.
The Smart50 Awards are assessed based on year-on-year revenue growth, and applicants need to show three consecutive years of financial growth. An exception is the StartupSmart Award, .which is a hall of fame award for those on the Smart50 who have stood the test of time. To be considered for the Smart and Lasting Award, entrants must have appeared in the Smart50 list for the past two years, have sustained revenue growth, implemented leading initiatives, shown employee career paths and solid foundations for future development.

Applications open for Startup Chile Generation 21

Start-Up Chile is a governmental program offering the S Factory, a 4-months pre-acceleration program for startups led by female founders, the Seed Program, a 7-months acceleration program for companies with a functional product as well as Follow on funds for top performing companies incorporated in Chile and looking to scale.
Applications the Startup Chile Seed Program, Generation 21 are open until September 4, 2018. The program is available for startups from all over the world. The focus is on entrepreneurs who want to grow and scale their businesses from Chile to the rest of the world.
Participants selected for the seven-month long accelerator program each receive a working visa for a year and a $40,000 equity-free investment as well as access to workspace, mentoring, pitch training, and workshops. Applying startups must be under three years old, have a functional product and early validation, as well as a global perspective with a clear expansion strategy.

Transparency and Quality Standards for Swiss Apps

Since five years “Best of Swiss Apps” is annually awarding the Best of Swiss Apps Award is to promote transparency and quality standards in the Swiss app and mobile industry. This year the award ceremony for the sixth edition of Best of Swiss Apps will take place on Nov 7 in Zurich for the categories Innovation, Design, User Experience, Functionality, Business Impact, Campaigns, Enterprise, Games , "Mixed, Augmented & Virtual Reality" as well as "Conversational App" which is the main theme for the 2018 contest. In this category, dialogical applications are sought that can work together with language assistants like Alexa, Cortana and Siri, and go beyond the functionality of a chat bot.

The winners of all Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Master Awards since 2013 are listed in the Hall of Fame.

"Innovation Basel“ is calling for Proposals

Registration deadline for theaward is September 30, 2018
This year, the competition for the "Innovation Basel" award is taking place for the third time. Of the 20 finalists in the last two years, 15 have successfully put their projects into action. "Innovation Basel" was launched by the Basel Guilds and the “Ehrengesellschaft” and is supported by, among others, the Christoph Merian Foundation and the Startup Academy Basel. The aim of the initiative is to promote ideas and make them accessible to a broad network. It can be a startup, a high school or diploma thesis or projects from areas such as science, culture, social affairs or services.
Applications are invited for projects in areas such as science, business, services, social affairs, culture and sports, which have a connection to the Basel region.
Accompanying programs run by the Startup Academy Basel worth a total of CHF 12,000 and prize money totaling CHF 13,500 can be won. Projects can be submitted electronically. The presentation of the ten finalists and the subsequent award ceremony will take place on 29th November.
