4th ICECE meeting

The fourth ICECE meeting took place prior to the ADT Annual Conference and discussed possible ways to encourage and support international collaboration of small technology-oriented firms as well as to promote the transfer of technology between East and West. Furthermore experience and information regarding activities in the different countries were exchanged and the "Blue ADT Book on Innovation Centers in Central and Eastern Europe", the first directory of such initiations and projects, was prepared. The ADT conference offered an excellent possibility to inform a larger audience about the situation in CEE countries and to promote the idea of bilateral collaboration.

The ICECE Work Group proposed to investigate possibilities to establish a more formal collaboration between governmental organization in Central and Eastern Europe. This initiative was aimed at creating a new and stable basis for cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurial a committee to further develop this proposal.
